The Glorious

Akatsuki

Okay, listen up. You've either navigated to this page, or were redirected here from my(Tapioca) signature. Great, this is the first step to attempting to join Akatsuki, I'm proud of you for making it this far. These next steps will guide you through getting the opportunity to join Akatsuki.
So, you want to join Akatsuki? Well, instead of spamming our topic with words like 'jion' and 'ur' and 'kewl,' I would like to guide you where you're supposed to introduce yourself to us at. Our IRC channel. If you know what IRC is and already have a client, skip ahead to the next paragraph with a ">>" in front of it. Oh, you don't know what IRC is, but would like to find out? IRC means "Internet Relay Chat." Since you may not understand this, just think "Multiplayer Notepad."

There are two ways to get to our IRC channel. The first way is the easiest way.

Method 1

This first method is through Naruto-Arena's website itself. On the front page of www.naruto-arena.com at the top of the page, there are 6 bars. The last one, labeled "Enter Chatroom" is the one you want. Make sure you're logged into Naruto-Arena. Once you click this link, a javascript applet is opened up in your web browser(what you're viewing the internet with). You will be brought into Naruto-Arena's IRC channel. Don't bother talking to the people in there, most of them are fucking retarded anyways. Now, you're able to enter messages to talk back and forth with the people. Instead of talking to them, type the following command line into the text bar:

/join #akatsuki

What this does, is forwards you to us. Look around at the usernames listed in this channel, if there's someone named &Agito(our bot, so don't try talking to it), you're in the right place. Look around for me(Tapioca), if I'm not in there, look for someone else with either a ~ or & or @ symbol in front of their username. If those people are idle, then ask in our chat when they will be back. If they ask who you are, state that you came here from Tapioca's Page and that you are looking to join Akatsuki. If they reply stupidly, or you simply don't wish to talk to them, leave and try returning to the channel at  a different time.

Oh yeah, BEFORE you join the channel, I recommend changing your name from "[N-A]YourUsernameHere" to something else. Just something to remove the [N-A] tag so that the people in Akatsuki don't automatically assume you're a noob. Just type this in:/nick WhateverNameYouWantHereNow, if you want to appear slightly more intelligent, use method two.Skip ahead to << instead of reading Method 2 if you just completed or did Method 1.

Method 2

Now, you may have tried the link in my signature(it the thing with pictures below my posts) that says "Click here to join Akatsuki's IRC!" and when you click it, you get a blank page. This is because
you're just doing it wrong.

What this link actually does is redirects your IRC client(the IRC program) to our chatroom without you having to do anything. However, it requires you to actually possess an IRC client. For the sake of my link, I've only tested it in mIRC, and since this is by far the most popular IRC client, I will walk you through it.

1. Download mIRC at www.mirc.com
2. Install it.

>>
Okay, you've got IRC setup. Good job. Now, open IRC up. If it gives you that "register now" crap, just ignore it. mIRC never actually expires, the messages simply get more annoying and change colors, probably to indicate that they want your money. Disregard this.

Get a username or something, this is what will be displayed when you say something. In the same box, on the side, there should be a folder looking area. Under "Connect," the first one at the top, click on "Servers." Under servers, find the one called "Rizon." Select it, and hit okay. You'll now be staring a a blank text box. Go to the top left corner, and click on "File" and then under that click on "Connect." Give it a few seconds to scroll through a bunch of text really fast. A Favorites menu will pop up, just hit the X on it. Once that is done, in the command line type this:

/join #akatsuki

And then hit enter. A new window should pop up. This window is a channel. On the right side there are a bunch of names. Look for one called &Agito. This is our bot, and should indicate that you're in the right channel. Don't bother attempting to talk to our bot though, it's merely there to control the channel and run scripts.
Once you enter the channel, type "moo" and hit enter.Okay, Agito automatically kicked you, didn't he? Haha. Okay, type:/join #akatsuki

<< Once you get back in the channel, look for someone besides Agito who has a ~ or & or @ symbol in front of their name. Private chat one of these people, and tell them you'd like to join Akatsuki, and were directed to the channel via Tapioca's Page. One of these people will give you further instructions. If none of these people respond, they're probably idle(away from their computer). Wait a few minutes, and if they're not there, you can either chat with the other people in our channel about extremely random stuff. If you get automatically kicked for some reason, it's probably someone with % or + running a script. Just rejoin again, we kick people for random reasons. If you get kicked for a bad reason, we'll let you know, because you probably deserved it.
